1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using RidgeOps ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
RidgeOps is an environmental monitoring application that connects to compatible ESP32-based weather stations via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to collect, display, and share weather and air quality data. The App is provided for informational purposes only.
3. Account Registration
You must create an account to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose

Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
•
Interfere with or disrupt the service infrastructure
•
Reverse-engineer or decompile the App beyond what applicable law permits
•
Misrepresent sensor data or submit falsified readings
5. Sensor Data Disclaimer
The App is not a certified weather instrument or safety device. Sensor readings depend on hardware calibration, placement, and environmental conditions. Do not rely on RidgeOps data for life-safety decisions, emergency response, or any situation where inaccurate data could cause harm. Always consult official weather services and authorities for critical weather information.
6. Organizations and Shared Data
If you create or join an organization, sensor readings you collect may be visible to other members of that organization. You are responsible for the data you share. Organization administrators may manage membership and shared data.
7. Intellectual Property
The App, its code, design, and branding are owned by Bonny Doon Labs Inc. Your sensor data remains yours. By uploading data to the service, you grant Bonny Doon Labs Inc. a license to store, process, and display it as part of the service.
8. Service Availability
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bonny Doon Labs Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to damages from reliance on sensor data.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated through the App.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
